(ideally we should be able to order materials, that would then be dropped shipped directly to a outside vendor, who will do some work, and be paid for said work, then shipping material to us)
While creating the Purchase Order, there will be a section for Subcontractors/Drop Shipments. In that section, if the material has to be shipped to Subcontractor then you will check that checkbox (This is a Subcontractor Drop Shipment) and select the Subcontractor from the dropdown. The dropdown will show a list of all the Vendors.
If the checkbox (This is a Subcontractor Drop Shipment) is selected, then the PO print will show the Subcontractor address in the Ship To section.
The material will be delivered to the Subcontractor's location by the supplier. Subcontractor will complete his task and transport it to the Allied real shipping warehouse. You will produce the Vendor PO and expense bill for the task they are completing for you.
